Efecto del Google Classroom en la motivación de estudiantes VII ciclo en la I.E. Corpus Christi, Iquitos 2024

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the effect of the Google Classroom platform on the motivation of students of the VII cycle in the educational institution Corpus Christi English School in the city of Iquitos in the year 2024, for this a quasi-experimental design was used where the independent variable Google Classroom was used to measure the effect it had on the dependent variable student motivation, The study had a population made up of students in the seventh cycle of secondary studies of the Corpus Christi English School educational institution, which were a total of 76 students, for the sample we worked with the entire population divided into two groups of 38 each to be part of the experimental and control group, The descriptive results showed that in the pre-test both groups obtained a low motivation and in the post-test the experimental group obtained a high motivation, therefore, it is affirmed that there is no significant difference between the data collected in the pre-test of the control and experimental group and in the post-test it is confirmed that the results between the control and experimental group have a significant difference, data that are verified by applying the Mann Whitney U statistical test by obtaining a significance value of less than 0.05 in the post-test, concluding that the Google Classroom platform has a positive effect on student motivation in the educational institution Corpus Christi English School.

El estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto de la plataforma Google Classroom en la motivación de estudiantes del VII ciclo en la institución educativa Corpus Christi English School de la ciudad de Iquitos en el año 2024, para esto se utilizó un diseño cuasi experimental dónde la variable independiente Google Classroom se utilizó para medir el efecto que tenía en la variable dependiente motivación estudiantil, el estudio contó con una población conformada por los estudiantes del séptimo ciclo de estudios secundarios de la institución educativa Corpus Christi English School, que fueron un total de 76 estudiantes, para la muestra se trabajó con toda la población dividiéndose en dos grupos de 38 cada uno para que formen parte del grupo experimental y de control, la técnica aplicada fue la observación directa y el instrumento fue el cuestionario y la ficha de observación, los resultados descriptivos mostraron que en el pre-test ambos grupos obtuvieron mayormente una baja motivación y en el post-test el grupo experimental obtuvo una alta motivación, por lo que se afirma que no existe una diferencia significativa los datos recogidos en el pre-test del grupo control y experimental y en el post-test se confirma que los resultados entre el grupo control y experimental tienen una diferencia significativa, datos que se comprueban al aplicar la prueba estadística de U de Mann Whitney al obtener un valor de la significancia menor a 0,05 en el post test, concluyendo que la plataforma Google Classroom tiene un efecto positivo en la motivación estudiantil en la institución educativa Corpus Christi English School.
