Abstract
avanzada a Leve”. La magnitud de daños por termitas en la plantación, es 0,78;
Constrictotermes
The research work was carried out at the Simarouba amara Aubl plantation. “Marupa”, parcel 1, located within the facilities of the Forest Research and Teaching Center of the Faculty of Forest Sciences of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon-UNAP, in 1978. The objective was to evaluate the survival and mortality of the Marupa trees; as well as, evaluate the intensity and severity of damage caused by Termites and thereby determine the magnitude of damage caused by termites in the trees of the Marupa plantation. The parcel has an area of 1000 m² and 102 individuals were planted with a distance of 3,00 m by 3,00 m; currently 41 individuals survive, representing 40,20%, and a mortality of 61 individuals, representing 59,80%. The intensity of damage in the plantation represents 39,02%; and the average severity of damage is 1,71; in other words, the plantation is "healthy with an advanced tendency to mild". The magnitude of termite damage in the plantation is 0,78; in other words, the damage is still minimal. The termites that are causing damage to the trees of the plantation belong to the genera Coptotermes and Constrictotermes
