Educación financiera y comportamiento financiero en los trabajadores de las tiendas de vestir del Mall Aventura Iquitos 2024

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between financial literacy and financial behavior among workers at the clothing stores at Mall Aventura Iquitos 2024. This was a basic research study with a quantitative approach, descriptive scope, and non-experimental design. The population consisted of 77 workers. The results showed that financial literacy was predominantly at a medium level (25%), given that participants only occasionally planned their expenses according to their income. Financial behavior was rated as average (26%), as respondents disagreed with the practice of comparing prices between different stores before purchasing. Finally, there was a positive and significant relationship between financial literacy and workers' financial behavior: the Pearson correlation coefficient yielded 0.760 and a two-tailed significance value of 0.000.

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación entre la educación financiera y comportamiento financiero en los trabajadores de las tiendas de vestir del Mall Aventura Iquitos 2024. Se trató de una investigación básica, con enfoque cuantitativo, alcance descriptivo y diseño no experimental, cuya población estuvo conformada por 77 trabajadores. Los resultados evidenciaron que la educación financiera se ubicó predominantemente en un nivel medio (25 %), dado que los participantes solo a veces planificaban sus gastos de acuerdo con los ingresos que percibían. A su vez, el comportamiento financiero se calificó como regular (26 %), pues los encuestados manifestaron desacuerdo con la práctica de comparar precios entre distintas tiendas antes de comprar. Finalmente, existió una relación positiva y de magnitud considerable entre la educación financiera y el comportamiento financiero de los trabajadores: la correlación de Pearson arrojó un coeficiente de 0,760 y un valor de significancia bilateral de 0,000.
