Impacto de la fertilización con NPK en el crecimiento de Carapa guianensis (Aubl) en la plantación del CIEFOR-Puerto Almendra. 2024

Abstract

The study was conducted at the experimental plantation of the Forest Research and Teaching Center (CIEFOR) – Puerto Almendra – UNAP, with the objective of evaluating the effect of NPK fertilization on the growth of Carapa guianensis (Aubl.). The experiment followed a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three treatments and one control: T₀ (0 g), T₁ (130 g), and T₂ (145 g) of NPK, with four replications and twelve plants per replication, totaling 144 individuals. The variables evaluated were total height, stem diameter, and crown diameter, measured monthly over a five-month period. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test and multiple range comparisons, with a significance level of 5%. Results revealed significant differences among treatments, with T₁ (130 g NPK) showing the highest mean growth values: 257.20 cm in total height, 25.49 mm in stem diameter, and 518.82 cm in crown diameter, indicating vigorous and balanced development. In contrast, the control treatment (T₀) exhibited the lowest growth values, while the highest dose (T₂ = 145 g) did not produce proportional increases, suggesting a possible nutrient saturation effect. It is concluded that moderate doses of NPK significantly enhance the aerial growth of Carapa guianensis, providing relevant evidence to optimize sustainable silvicultural practices in the Peruvian Amazon.

El estudio se realizó en la plantación experimental del Centro de Investigaciones Forestales (CIEFOR) - Puerto Almendra - UNAP, con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de la fertilización con NPK en el crecimiento de Carapa guianensis (Aubl.). Se evaluaron las variables altura total, diámetro de fuste y diámetro de copa durante cinco meses, aplicando mediciones mensuales. Con el propósito de determinar la existencia de diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los tratamientos evaluados, se aplicó la prueba no paramétrica de Kruskal–Wallis, complementada con pruebas de rangos múltiples, considerando un nivel de significancia del 5%. A partir de dicho análisis estadístico, se constataron diferencias significativas entre los tratamientos sometidos a evaluación. En este sentido, el tratamiento T₁ (130 g de NPK) se distinguió por registrar los mayores valores promedio de crecimiento, superando al resto de los tratamientos analizados: 257.20 cm en altura total, 25.49 mm en diámetro de fuste y 518.82 cm en diámetro de copa, reflejando un desarrollo vigoroso y equilibrado. En contraste, el testigo (T₀) obtuvo los valores más bajos, mientras que la dosis más alta (T₂ = 145 g) no produjo incrementos proporcionales. Se concluye que la dosis moderada de NPK mejora significativamente el crecimiento aéreo de Carapa guianensis, aportando evidencia relevante para optimizar prácticas silviculturales sostenibles en la Amazonía peruana.
