Abstract
La presente investigación se desarrolló con el objetivo de caracterizar y estimar los
posibles efectos ambientales negativos o positivos de las actividades desarrolladas
en la construcción de piscigranjas en la zona de la carretera Iquitos-Nauta.
Se trabajó con una muestra representativa seleccionada al azar de 8 productores
de las comunidades del Varillal, Moralillos, Peña Negra y Paujil, registrados como
productores acuícolas en la Dirección Regional de la Producción (DIREPRO). Se
obtuvo información directamente de las personas y por observación directa de los
predios acuícolas, por medio de entrevista abierta. Para el procesamiento de la
información se aplicó la estadística descriptiva, aplicando tablas de distribución de
frecuencias y cálculos porcentuales.
Se observa que por el poco tiempo que se necesita para realizar la construcción e
implementación de estanques para piscicultura, este procedimiento no muestra
impactos negativos severos al ambiente y que en su gran mayoría son ejecutadas
manualmente. No se utilizan productos químicos, que puedan ocasionar
contaminación del suelo y agua de las pozas de crianza. Existen efectos
ambientales positivos, como es el mejoramiento de la estética y belleza del paisaje
donde se instala las pozas de crianza para peces. Otros efecto positivo es la
generación de empleo, especialmente a personas lugareñas o cercanas donde se
ubica las pozas.
The present investigation was developed with the objective of characterizing and estimating the possible negative or positive environmental effects of the activities carried out in the construction of fish farms in the area of the Iquitos-Nauta road. We worked with a representative sample selected at random from 8 producers in the communities of Varillal, Moralillos, Peña Negra and Paujil, registered as aquaculture producers in the Regional Directorate of Production (DIREPRO). Information was obtained directly from people and by direct observation of aquaculture farms, through an open interview. For the information processing, descriptive statistics were applied, applying frequency distribution tables and percentage calculations. It is observed that due to the short time it takes to carry out the construction and implementation of fish farming ponds, this procedure does not show severe negative impacts to the environment and that they are mostly executed manually. Chemicals are not used, which can cause contamination of the soil and water of the breeding pools. There are positive environmental effects, such as the improvement of the aesthetics and beauty of the landscape where fish breeding ponds are installed. Other positive effect is the generation of employment, especially to local or nearby people where the pools are located.
