Abstract
This study analyzed whether critical thinking is linked to university social responsibility among students at the National University of the Peruvian Amazon, Iquitos campus. The research was basic, with a quantitative approach and correlational level; it employed a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 1,903 students, and the sample comprised 320 students from the 8th to 10th semester of the 2025-II semester. According to the results, no significant relationship was found between university social responsibility and the dimensions of critical thinking evaluated (data analysis and interpretation, judgment of situations with objective and subjective information, and inference of consequences from self-regulated judgment). The statistical test yielded p = 0.696 (> 0.05; α = 5%). Therefore, it is concluded that critical thinking is not significantly related to university social responsibility in the studied sample. In summary, improving university social responsibility requires specific training actions beyond the level of critical thinking.
