Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la eficacia del programa de
formación de alumnos "cantando juntos", en el mejoramiento de la pronunciación en
inglés de los estudiantes del quinto año de secundaria en la Institución Educativa
Pública Inicial, Primario, Secundario de Menores y Adultos “MARISCAL OSCAR R.
BENAVIDES” Iquitos. – 2016. El estudio fue de tipo experimental y diseño
cuasiexperimental con grupo control, pre-test y pos-test.
La población de estudio estuvo conformada por 387 estudiantes del quinto
grado de secundaria, secciones “A”-“Ñ” de ambos turnos, de la Institución Educativa
Pública Inicial, Primario, Secundario de Menores y Adultos “MARISCAL OSCAR R.
BENAVIDES”, matriculados en el año escolar 2016. La muestra, estuvo representada
por 47 estudiantes distribuidos en Grupo Control: 23 estudiantes (Sección “F”) y
Grupo Experimental: 24 estudiantes (Sección “H”). Ambos grupos fueron
seleccionados mediante el muestreo intencional o por conveniencia. Se aplicaron los
instrumentos de ficha de observación, rúbricas y prueba de desempeño oral.
Los resultados muestran que el grupo experimental fue superior al grupo
control (18,08 > 13,43). Por lo tanto, la aplicación del Programa educativo
“CANTANDO JUNTOS” mejoró significantemente la pronunciación de los estudiantes
de la muestra en inglés de la muestra aceptándose la hipótesis de trabajo (p. Valor =
0,162 > α = 0.05).
The objective of this research was to assess the effectiveness of ‘singing together’ learner training program to improve fifth year students’ pronunciation in English at "MARISCAL OSCAR R. BENAVIDES" school, Iquitos ,2016. The study was of experimental type and quasi-experimental design with control group, pre-test, and post-test. The population was made up by 387 students (Classes “A” to “Ñ”) at "MARISCAL OSCAR R. BENAVIDES" school enrolled in the year 2016. The sample was represented by 47 students: Control Group: 23 students (Class "F") and Experimental Group: 24 students (Class "H"). Both groups were selected intentionally by convenience. Observation sheet and oral achievement test were applied to collect data. The results show that after the learner training program, the experimental group outperformed the control group (18.08> 13.43). Therefore, the implementation of the "Singing Together" learning – training Program, improved the significantly the sample students´ pronunciation in English, accepting the warning hypothesis. (p. Valor = 0,162 > α = 0.05).
