Gestión pública municipal y la seguridad ciudadana en el distrito de Iquitos 2025

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between municipal public management and citizen security in the district of Iquitos 2025. Opting for a basic study, quantitative approach, correlation level with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, the sample consisted of 384 residents, for the completion of the survey conducted using a questionnaire for data collection. The findings show that 98.4% of respondents rated municipal public management as fair, while 75.5% of residents rated public safety as fair. Therefore, it is determined that there is a very low positive correlation between the variables, with a coefficient of rho=0.001 and a significance of p=0.984 (<0.05), indicating that there is no significant relationship between the variables. Likewise, the municipal regulations dimension has a coefficient and significance of rho=0.056 and p=0.272; similarly, the municipal administration dimension shows a coefficient and significance of rho=-0.083 and p=0.103; Finally, the organisational commitment dimension shows a coefficient and significance of rho=-0.070 and p=0.171. These dimensions are not significantly and positively related to citizen security.

La presente investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la relación entre la gestión pública municipal y la seguridad ciudadana en el distrito de Iquitos 2025. Optando por un estudio de tipo básico, enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlación con un diseño no experimental de corte transversal la muestra estuvo conformada por 384 pobladores, para la realización de la encuesta conducida de un cuestionario para el recojo de datos. Los hallazgos demuestran que respecto a la gestión pública municipal el 98,4% de los encuestados la califica como regular; así también la seguridad ciudadana fue calificada como regular por el 75,5% de los pobladores. Por tanto, se determina que entre las variables existe correlación positiva muy baja por un coeficiente de rho=0,001 y una significancia p=0,984 (<0,05); indicando que no existe una relación significativa entre las variables. Asimismo, la dimensión normatividad municipal presenta un coeficiente y significancia de rho=0,056 y p=0,272; del mismo modo, la dimensión administración municipal muestra un coeficiente y significancia de rho=-0,083 y p=0,103; por último, la dimensión compromiso organizacional muestra un coeficiente y significancia de rho=0,070 y p=0,171, dichas dimensiones no se relacionan significativamente y positiva con la seguridad ciudadana.
