Abstract
Experimental UNAP, San Juan Bautista - 2016?
Institución Educativa Experimental UNAP, San Juan Bautista - 2016.
San Juan Bautista - 2016”.
The present investigation was direct to solve the following research problem: Is there a relationship between the motivation towards reading and comprehension of texts in students of the 3rd. High school degree, Experimental Educational Institution UNAP, San Juan Bautista - 2016? The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the motivation towards reading and comprehension of texts in students of the 3rd. High school degree, Experimental Educational Institution UNAP, San Juan Bautista - 2016. It is a non-experimental research, correlational level with correlational and transversal design. The population was conformed by 113 students of the 3rd. High school degree and the sample was represent by 87 students, selected by stratified sampling by proportional allocation. The analysis of results was make by means of summary measures (frequencies and percentages), measures of central tendency (arithmetic mean) and dispersion measures (standard deviation). The inferential analysis was carry out using the nonparametric Chi square test (X2), with a level of significance α 0.05%. The results of the inferential analysis performed by the non-parametric Chi-squared free distribution test (X2), with significance level of 0.05 and degree of freedom 4, shows that: X2c = 20.57982 > X2t = 9.488, p = 0.025 ( p <0.05). Therefore, the validity of the proposed research hypothesis is confirm, which states that: "There is a relationship between the motivation to read and understand texts in students of the 3rd. high school degree, Experimental Educational Institution UNAP, San Juan Bautista - 2016 ".
