Inversión pública y su relación con el nivel de empleo en la región de Loreto 2007 – 2022

Abstract

This research analyzes the relationship between public investment and the level of employment in the Loreto region, Peru, during the period 2007-2022. Using Spearman's correlation coefficient, the connections between public investment and various forms of employment, including formal and informal employment, are assessed. The results indicate a strong positive correlation (ρ=0.8512) between public investment and the level of total employment. Furthermore, a significant correlation was found between investment in infrastructure and formal employment (ρ=0.7741), as well as between efficiency in the execution of public investment and formal employment (ρ=0.6639). However, a moderate positive correlation was also observed between the execution of public investment and informal employment (ρ = 0.4182). These findings highlight the importance of public investment for economic development and job creation in Loreto. It is recommended to increase investment in infrastructure, improve efficiency in project execution and develop policies that promote the formalization of employment. The proposals include the creation of a comprehensive infrastructure plan and the implementation of incentives for labor formalization, thus contributing to sustainable and equitable development in the region.

Esta investigación analiza la relación entre la inversión pública y el nivel de empleo en la región de Loreto, Perú, durante el período 2007-2022. Utilizando el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, se evalúan las conexiones entre la inversión pública y diversas formas de empleo, incluyendo el empleo formal e informal. Los resultados indican una fuerte correlación positiva (ρ=0.8512) entre la inversión pública y el nivel de empleo total. Además, se encontró una correlación significativa entre la inversión en infraestructura y el empleo formal (ρ=0.7741), así como entre la eficiencia en la ejecución de la inversión pública y el empleo formal (ρ=0.6639). Sin embargo, también se observó una correlación positiva moderada entre la ejecución de la inversión pública y el empleo informal (ρ = 0.4182). Estos hallazgos destacan la importancia de la inversión pública para el desarrollo económico y la generación de empleo en Loreto. Se recomienda aumentar la inversión en infraestructura, mejorar la eficiencia en la ejecución de proyectos y desarrollar políticas que promuevan la formalización del empleo. Las propuestas incluyen la creación de un plan integral de infraestructura y la implementación de incentivos para la formalización laboral, contribuyendo así a un desarrollo sostenible y equitativo en la región.
