Abstract
A nivel
We evaluated the potential irritancy of the cosmetic cream "Snail 's dribble & nacreous shell", which was commercialized in the market ofBethlehem by the scale of the Draize Test in albino rabbits weighing not less than 2 kg of male sex. The cosmetic cream in test was administered for a period of 72 hours on the skin of albino rabbits; for which established a positive control group of formaldehyde to the xx %, a negative control of petroleum jelly USP and a treated group (three rabbits).During the assessment were classified and analyzed the different dermal lesions by using the scale of the Draize Test during the 1, 24, 48 and 72 hours. At the end of the study was carried out euthanasia of all animals in the research by beheading. According to the results obtained to the macroscopic level cosmetic "Snails dribble & nacreous shell", not presented potential irritant to be obtained a primary irritation index of 0.23 considered this result as insignificant, and thus is within the limits allowed for this type of study. Level microscopic the histopathology revealed in all the rabbits treated with the cosmetic cream a slight hyperkeratosis.
