Modalidad de ingreso y rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de odontología ingresantes del 2003 al 2008 en la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre la modalidad de ingreso a la facultada de odontología de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes del primer año en los años 2003 a 2008. La metodologíade acuerdo a la naturaleza del objeto de estudioes CUANTITATIVO. El Diseño que se asume en el estudio es el NO EXPERIMENTAL, TRANSVERSAL, CORRELACIONAL y RETROSPECTIVO. La muestra del estudio estuvo conformada por 114 estudiantes de 1 o nivel de estudios de la facultad de odontología de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana ingresantes entre los años 2003 y 2008.El instrumento utilizado fue la Ficha de Recolección de datos en la cual se emplearon índices ya validados. Al realizar el análisis bivariado se obtuvo que la mayoría de los estudiantes que ingresamn por la modalidad de exoneración 43.2% tuvieron rendimiento académico bueno. Así mismo el 40% que ingresaron con la modalidad preferencial, presentaron rendimiento académico regular y deficiente respectivamente. La mayoría 59.5% que ingresaron con la modalidad de admisión general tuvieron rendimiento académico regular.
