| dc.description.abstract | The present thesis “Ordinary justice and perception of the Kukama Kukamiria settler in the indigenous community of Manacamiri, Río Nanay. Loreto 2025”, investigates how the inhabitants of this Amazonian community perceive and relate to the Peruvian state justice system, in contrast to their own traditional forms of conflict resolution. Through a qualitative and ethnographic approach, the experiences of forty residents were analyzed through semi-structured interviews, participant observation and field logs. The results show that, faced with a state judicial system perceived as distant, expensive, slow and culturally alien, the community maintains a model of communal justice based on customary norms, assemblies and traditional authorities such as the Lieutenant Governor. This system, valued for its legitimacy, speed and restorative nature, strengthens social cohesion and reflects its own worldview. For social anthropology, the findings reveal the persistence of legal pluralism in indigenous contexts, question the centrality of state law, and highlight the need to build intercultural bridges that recognize and articulate diverse legal systems in Peru. | en_US |
| es_PE |
