Abstract
Nº 593
– los Garabatos, Iquitos- 2014.
This research had as a main objective to determine the effectiveness of using the Educational games in the Vocabulary Learning in English in 5-year old Children from the I.E.I. Nº 593-The Garabatos, Iquitos-2014. The study population was settled by 40 5 year-old children of kindergarten education; 21 of them from the Lorito Classroom who were in the control group and 19 of them were in the experimental group who were in the Ardillita Classroom. Both groups were taken a pre-test before the experiment. Then, the educational games were applied in the experimental group and in the control group the methodology was according to the classroom teacher’s planning. Finally, both groups took a post test. The instruments used were the Pre-test and Post-test in both groups and there were relevant results that the students got after the educational games were applied and they were placed in the excellent level of English Vocabulary Learning with a 47.37% in comparison of the 4.7% before the educational games took place. This result is shown in media population of X = 23.89. The hypothesis formulation in which: Ho; UC = Uexp; Ho; UC ≠ Uexp, with a level of significance of α= 0.5 by means of the statistical proof of t-student that took place in the critical region in where the result of the control group and experimental group have difference of 3.51, then we can be said that the hypothesis of: The Educational Games has a meaningful influence in the level of vocabulary learning in English of the 5 year-old children from the I.E.I.593- The Garabatos, Iquitos-2014.
